I think you can make something like this too. You just need MMD (miku miku dance), MME(miku miku effect), some models, effects and motion. There's tutorials around youtube that can help. I could also help, but i'm still a beginner.
Most of the KHR models are down becasue of mediafire taking them down and people not following the modeler's rules.
Always remember to read the modeler's rules in the "ReadMe" file text becasue if a lot of people break the modeler's rules, then the modeler will take the model down. There as been a lot of drama( the akira nachi drama, Q_ku drama,nanami drama, roco drama, etc.) in the MMD community about it and the japanese modelers are thinking about banning distribution to overseas.
The english version on MME is here, just scroll down and find a pink square button that says MMEffect v028. here's the link [link] (MME doesn't work on PMX model files)
There is also PMD editor and PMX editor, with this you can make your own models with model parts around deviantART, you can edit models, and turn PMX models in to PMD models, fix model bones, etc.)
